Terms of service
What we promise, what we do not, and who pays the provider bill.

These terms
These terms are between you and the operator of TokenPolice (“we”, “us”) — an individual, not a company. They cover tokenpolice.ai, app.tokenpolice.ai, our API and the Node and Python SDKs. You accept them by creating an account — including with Google sign-in — or using the service. Our privacy policy is part of them.
What the service does
TokenPolice measures what your LLM calls cost and enforces the rules you set: blocking a call, rerouting it to a cheaper model at the same provider, or alerting you. It is designed to fail open. If our collector is slow, unreachable or wrong, your call proceeds. So enforcement is best-effort — a call you expected to be blocked may go through. There is no service level agreement.
Your account, and using it well
Give us accurate details, be at least 16, and keep your API keys secret. Anything done with your key is done by you, including by people you invite.
Do not use TokenPolice to break the law, to work around a provider’s terms or quotas, or to attribute calls to identifiers you may not use. Do not probe or attack the service, resell access, or put secrets or prompt content in the free-form metadata field.
Plans and billing
Free is $0. Pro is $49 per month in US dollars and is free during our launch period: no payment method today, and we will email you before any charging starts. Cancel any time. See pricing.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that every cost figure is exact, or that every rule will fire.
Your LLM provider bill is yours — for calls a rule blocked, and for calls a rule failed to block. Otherwise, so far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the past twelve months, or $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and your consumer rights are unaffected.
Ending, and changing
Close your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close one that breaks these terms or threatens the service. We update the date above when they change. Questions: hello@tokenpolice.ai.
